TREK 50 YEAR BANNER

🚲 Cycle Paul at Trek’s 50th Anniversary

A Family Moment We’ll Never Forget

Last week, members of the Cycle Paul family traveled to Trek’s global headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin to celebrate a milestone that means a lot to us: Trek’s 50th anniversary. It was a gathering of retailers, partners, and long‑time friends of the brand, but for our family, it became something even more meaningful.

A Recognition Decades in the Making

During the anniversary celebration, Raymond Schiltz was presented with the Trek Legend Award by John Burke, President of Trek Bicycle. This moment hit home for all of us.

Cycle Paul has been a Trek dealer since around 1989, and over nearly four decades, Trek has become far more than a supplier. It has been a partner, a collaborator, and a constant presence in the evolution of our shops in Pointe‑Claire and Vaudreuil‑Dorion. Looking through old photos for this trip, we found an image from a past Trek World featuring Raymond alongside Mike Allen, Randy Ferguson, Dick Burke, Mike Hietpas and Guilbert Laflamme. It’s a snapshot of a relationship built on trust and shared passion.

More Than Bikes

Raymond has always believed that our work is not just about selling bicycles. It’s about people. It’s about building relationships, serving our community, and helping riders discover the joy of cycling. These values shaped Cycle Paul from the early days of Paul and Yvonne Schiltz, carried through Raymond’s leadership, and continue today with Pierre‑Paul Schiltz and Frank Rochon guiding the next chapter.

Seeing Raymond’s lifetime of dedication recognized on such a meaningful anniversary was emotional for our entire family. It reminded us why we do what we do and why our partnership with Trek has endured for so long.

Looking Ahead

We left Madison inspired, grateful, and proud. Trek’s 50 years represent innovation, community, and a commitment to cycling that aligns perfectly with our own mission at Cycle Paul. We look forward to sharing more content from our trip in the coming days.

Here’s to many more years of riding together.
